Brittany Chenenko, M.Ed, LMHC
Hello!
Whether your child is struggling emotionally, behaviorally, and/or academically in school and/or at home, I am here to help.
I have nearly 20 years of experience working with children, parents, and families in various settings, including education and mental health counseling. My goal is to work together with parents, children, and other professionals to help a child reach their therapeutic and life goals. Together we can help your child recognize the emotions they are feeling, increase their self-control, and develop self-regulation skills.
I also offer parent-only support and guidance. You may have a child who is unwilling to participate in therapy at this time, or maybe you would like to have a resource to guide and support you through parenting challenges. As a parent myself, I can relate to the saying, “Children don’t come with a manual.” I’ve learned through my professional career and personal journey as a parent that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. I would love to be a support to you in the journey of parenthood.
Before becoming a mental health counselor, I was a middle school English teacher, who also taught a few years of art and drama. I love using my creative energy in my counseling sessions not only with the children I work with, but also the parents I counsel as well.
